Who?
Kunstwerkt is a Flemish non-profit organisation in Belgium, for everyone who practices visual arts. We inspire people during studio visits, events and workshops, encourage them with open calls, and help them on their way with information and exhibition materials. And every day they can show their own work, search for artists or discover open calls on the online platform ‘Beeld’.
What?
As staff member internationalisation, I am developing the internationalisation strategy and I’m involved in various projects that have an international component. Kunstwerkt recently obtained an Erasmus+ accreditation where I have the final responsibility for all mobility activities of staff members. During these mobility projects, we focus on learning about inclusion, cultural diversity, target group participation and the bottom-up approach.
Why Amateo?
I’m very curious about how other Amateo members work and about their vision on internationalisation. I’m looking forward to exchange ideas and set up projects with international partners. Through the network I would like to connect with people from different countries and broaden my horizon.
Importance of international cooperation?
International connections are very inspiring and reflective. I believe that exchanging views or working together can lead to innovation and quality development on different levels in the organisation. It can create an enormous dynamic. I hope the network will cause a creative boost and international visibility for all members.
A PAPER A DAY project!
In October 2023 Kunstwerkt organizes the fifth edition of the online drawing challenge A paper / a day.
A paper / a day wants to get everyone drawing. Complete beginners or experienced draughtsman, on a small piece of paper or in a nice sketchbook. We encourage people to draw every day (or as much as possible) in October, to find a routine in drawing. We provide daily inspiration and encouragement on our Instagram page. Everyone can draw with us, starting from 1 October, and share sketches on Instagram #apaperaday23.
