You are warmly invited to an international celebration of participatory arts and collaboration! This year, the Awards Ceremony will take place online with guests joining from home across Europe. We’ll be celebrating some of the most inspiring amateur arts groups and will announce the winner of the #AmateoAward2022! The one-hour programme will include stories from the four shortlisted groups, the awarding of the 1000 euro prize and live performances.
The Amateo Award celebrates excellence in the voluntary and amateur arts, meaning those activities led by the community for their own benefit. This year, projects from 14 countries across Europe applied for the Amateo Award 2022 and featured activity focused on inclusion of refugees and LGBTQ+ communities, climate action, age accessibility, mental health issues (such as dementia) and more. Four groups have been shortlisted by the jury, representing work from England, Serbia, Scotland and Portugal. Read more about the 2022 finalists…
As it is a celebratory event, guests are encouraged (although not obliged!) to dress for a party and bring drinks or snacks. Join us!
